About Me

I graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Nursing degree in 1997. I received a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Nursing (Infant, Child, and Adolescent Health) from The University of Melbourne in 2001, and graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Master of Nursing degree in 2006. I also received a Professional Certificate in Allergy Nursing from The University of South Australia in 2014.

I have practiced at the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) in Melbourne since 1998. I was endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner in 2008 and am a key member of the multidisciplinary Dermatology team at the RCH.

My role is focused on educating and supporting families and healthcare professionals in the management of dermatological conditions. I have been involved in the set up and running of specialised eczema, acne and haemangioma clinics at the RCH, the development of educational resources for these conditions, and research in eczema management and treatments.

I have offered a private paediatric eczema service since 2012. I am now practising privately and specialise in eczema, acne, infantile haemangioma, warts, and molluscum.

What is a Nurse Practitioner?

A Nurse Practitioner is a Registered Nurse with the experience, expertise and authority to diagnose and treat people of all ages with a variety of acute or chronic health conditions. Nurse Practitioners have completed additional university study at Master’s degree level and are the most senior and independent clinical nurses in our health care system.

Nurse Practitioners can provide patient rebates through Medicare, provide prescriptions and access to PBS medicines, order pathology, and can refer patients to hospitals and other specialists.
